Today I want to blog about the wonderful seder we were lucky to be apart of and the way I decorated our home for Pesach.
The Seder:
We had our seder at very good friends of ours and it was an amazing evening. The seder was great, the food was spectacular, and the people we were with are amazing. So my friends took care of the seder and the food and I did a couple of small things for the children who were at the seder. Take a look at the cute seder plate and kiddush cup I found for the children:
I also made a bucket of plagues for the seder (I will blog about it soon).
My Pesach Decor:
I thought it would be very cute if my guests could "walk through the splitting of the red sea". I tried my best to get pictures of it but they aren't great, but take a look anyway:
See? "Footprints" in the sand!!!
I also made these cute food tags and sweet wall decor:
I just love the matzah paper I used-cute right??
I also had some fun with my table settings. I made a name tag for each person at the table.
And here is the final table setting:
It was a great chag and looking forward to a good week!!!

Date Box: Febuary's Date
This Months Clue:
And Letter that I gave to my husband:
So this was meant to be February's date but it rained so much during February that we landed up having this date in March. (funny thing is the day we landed up having the date, it also rained, but at least that was after).
Anyway........
The plan for the date was to go with my husband to a park and just have fun playing on all the things in the park. Then I packed a "school" lunch for us to have a picnic at the park too.
We landed up having the picnic at one park and then went to another park to play and share a chocolate pudding for dessert.
We really had an amazing (play)date together!!!!

Wedding Present
So one of the reasons we went to South Africa was for a very good friends wedding. When it came to deciding what present to buy the happy couple I just couldn't think of anything "good" enough so instead of buying something I made a beautiful present instead.
Take a look at what I made:
I took an empty box and put a mosaic pattern onto it. I then filled the box with different flavoured Israeli teas.
PS: this is my first mosaic project.

BUSY BUSY BUSY
Wow I can't believe it's been so long since I last posted. Things have just been crazy hectic. I have started teaching again and I feel like all I have been doing is prep, teach, prep, teach........
But it has been so good to get back into teaching and I am really enjoying how creative I can be with the lessons.
Now that I am getting into the swing of things and the prep is getting easier I will be going back to more crafting, so stay tuned for more creativity!!!

Purim is a month away
Has anyone started thinking about what they going to be doing for Purim this year? I have started thinking about it but not in to much detail yet. What I want to do in this post is share last years Purim with you.
So our theme last year was Pirates. Take a look at what I did for it:
These are the mishloach manot treasure chests I made:
My husband and I also made our own hamantaschen, which we thought sort of looked like pirate hats:
And of course what is Purim without the fun costumes:
I also entered a competition @ http://craftingjewishstyle.blogspot.com/2011/04/crafting-jewish-style-purim.html, where I came second for my entry :)
I sent in pictures of our costumes and mishloach manot as well as this cute tag book I made:
Hope you enjoyed my post and are a litte bit more inspired for this years Purim.
